Governor Brown to Speak at National Clean Energy Summit in Las Vegas

SACRAMENTO – Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. will join Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval and Washington Governor Christine Gregoire at the Clean Energy Summit 4.0 in Las Vegas, Nev., for a panel discussion on how the West’s leadership in clean energy is influencing economic development, new technologies and national and international policymaking.

The National Clean Energy Summit 4.0 is co-sponsored by the Center for American Progress, the Clean Energy Project, MGM Resorts International, Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and UNLV. This year’s Summit will convene veteran business executives, energy policy innovators, entrepreneurs, investors and senior public officials from both parties, along with citizens and students, to discuss the future of our nation’s energy in an effort to adopt more advanced energy policies, create jobs and make our nation more competitive in the global clean energy economy.

Other notable speakers at this year’s summit include Vice President Joe Biden, U.S. Department of Energy Secretary Steven Chu and U.S. Navy Secretary Ray Mabus.
